The bicycle as a means of transportation is not only popular in everyday life but also during leisure time. For bike travelers who value flexibility and dynamism, the North American-originated sport of bikepacking offers an ideal format. It’s not just the switch from a touring bike to a gravel bike or mountain bike that allows for riding new and different paths. A big difference is made by the equipment used. Instead of transporting everything on the rear rack, the weight is distributed across the entire bike. There are various options that can be adjusted depending on the length and type of the trip. Heavier items are packed into the frame bag to keep the center of gravity as low and centered as possible. Lighter items are attached to a handlebar roll, and for other necessary gear, there’s a large saddlebag. For longer tours, additional bike bags can also be attached to the lowrider. Due to the smaller volume of the bags, you travel lighter and can also take on more ambitious tours.
